In recent days, almost everybody knows the debilitating effects of cigarette smoking on one's health, specifically the damage it can cause to the lungs (in addition to other major organs).

by Amy Hudson

Of late, almost everyone is aware of the unpleasant repercussions of smoking tobacco on one's health, particularly the difficulties it can cause in the lungs (as well as other organs).

One of the key ingredients of tobacco or cigarette smoke is tar, which is amassed in the lungs and in due course causes the lung cells to clot. After some time, the cilia cells lining your lungs can be literally covered by several layers of tar.

Your cilia cells principally act by getting rid of harmful pollutants, substances, and germs. But if your lung cilia are hindered by the presence of tar, the person becomes exposed to a number of illnesses that will usually not affect individuals who don't smoke.

Furthermore, cigarette tar is made up of other extremely hazardous components such as carcinogens. Researches have shown that putting cigarette tar on the skin of test animals caused skin cancer no less than 60 percent of the time.

When you quit smoking, your lung's cilia will no longer be obstructed by excess layers of tar, and in good time resume their normal functions. Little by little, your lung cilia will start to cleanse your lungs of the clutter triggered by your chronic long-term smoking. Your lungs will be cleansed by the cilia totally in about 10 years after you've stopped smoking. If you're impatient for results, embarking on a lung detox program can expedite this process.

Lung Detox

"Lung Detox" is the title of an ebook that tells an ex-smoker's personal experience and his efforts to defeat his smoking addiction and eventually regain his health. This ebook offers useful insights such as guidelines on how finally stop smoking, or deal with being a non-smoker and the consequences that this may generate.

Furthermore, Lung Detox provides a beneficial lung detoxification program that incorporates a natural method involving natural extracts and vitamins. Mainly, the process serves to break down tar and nicotine particles and gradually eliminate them from the lungs more rapidly. The lung detox program is intended to cleanse your lungs within only a few months to a year.

The program will presumably trigger some adverse side effects, such as gastrointestinal disorders. Then again, these side effects are published openly and are associated with the symptoms of withdrawal.

On top of its cleansing system, this program also helps you fight your smoking addiction by creating some sort of revulsion towards cigarette smoke. Presumably, this lung detox program will also help in weight loss, which is a rather frequent problem among those who have recently quit smoking.

As of this writing, there are varying views about this ebook and its technique. A number of groups have actually requested their money back and opted to try a different technique. On the other hand, there are also individuals who have reported excellent results plus a remarkable advancement in terms of their health and quality of life in general after trying this program.

The decision to use the lung detox program is all up to you, but remember that the program claims practically zero adverse side effects as well as gives you the potential to significantly improve your health in general. Knowing all these, how can you possibly go wrong?

When you get past World of Warcraft addiction, you don't play nearly as much. Makes sense, right? But one of the side effects of not playing as often is that disorientation when you do sit down to play again. What the heck was I doing last time I played? Where was that quest giver? Or maybe where were those pesky Timbermaw anyway?

First thing to get over is beating yourself up for not remembering. At least it is for me. When I'm living, eating, breathing World of Warcraft ie, addicted, I know all things. (Or at least think I do.) Now I sometimes feel like I know next to nothing.

When I was addicted, I didn't need sites like thottbot.com and wowhead.com nearly as much. In fact, I had a certain disdain of them. Now I refer to them all the time. There are other sites that do the same thing too by the way. Those are just the two that I use most.

Better yet though are two addons I've discovered along with many others I use: Questhelper and Carbonite Quest. They are nearly the same in purpose so pick one. You don't need both.

Both keep track of your questlog and guide you through the most efficient path to completing the quests. If all members in a group use the same tool, it will consolidate the quest list and take all the quests into consideration which is a great help in avoiding the, "What should we do next?" discussions that can eat up a lot of time.

Neither tool is perfect. But both are right enough of the time to make them immensely worth using. (Note: Carbonite Quest is even better with the Cartographer addon installed as well. Questhelper stands alone.)

I use Carbonite instead of Questhelper because it shows the route of where you've been. It makes it a piece of cake to find your way out of dungeons instead of meandering around lost or maybe having to hearth out like I do sometimes.

Carbonite comes in a free version and a paid version. I have the paid one but the free one is a great help as well. Questhelper is totally free the last time I checked.

Evidently there are addons that take the concept one step further. They not only guide you through the quests you have, but help you decide which quests and quest paths are worth following. I can see the benefit of that but since I'm one of those that enjoys the trip as much as the destination, I've never looked into them further.

I'll be adding more reviews and suggestions for useful addons for the casual World of Warcraft player at myworldofwarcraftaddiction.com. If you know of any, please suggest them or write them up yourself and I'll post them.

by Sam Garnebo

Child pornography is a picture of the crime scene, not the production (enactment) of the crime itself. It is not pictures of willing perverts performing for the camera; it is pictures of children, being violently molested.

The road that leads to such vile and disgusting lust and behavior has all its roots in pornography. In every case of child molestation, a strong addiction to pornography is evident.

The results of porn are what really addicts people to it. To satisfy sexual desire is what causes people to desire pornography.

Addictions don't satisfy, they intensify. As they intensify, more arousing material is needed.

Normal people do not lust after children, animals, family members, same sex partners; it is all an elevation of the erotic content needed to become satiated in the need for erotic pleasure.

The key to preventing a lifelong addiction to pornography is preventing its start. The best way to stop the addiction to pornography is to prevent it from happening. The youngest users of online pornography are young adults.

Pornography is now accessible anywhere, anytime, and virtually unnoticed by peers. The amount of perversion available is overwhelming.

The need to go visit sleazy stores to get fulfillment has been decreased by the internet. Its easy access has increased the need for a new ecstasy, which has produced child pornography.

Monitor and filter your child's internet use at home to start the fight of porn.

Addictions can't be controlled, and pornography is an addiction. Get a filter that you can't bypass, get counseling, and keep your pc activity public if you are addicted.

by Amy Hudson

At present, there are a multitude of products that promise to help you discontinue smoking. The problem is that it is never easy to sort the fact from fiction. Particular products may very well be scams that aim to get your hard-earned money and capitalize on the excruciating difficulty of attempting to quit smoking without some help.

Cigarrest is one of the earliest stop smoking products in this expanding market. Though Cigarrest has persisted for several years, the brand could not quite to dodge the controversy around it. In the succeeding paragraphs, we will answer your Cigarrest questions to help you reach an educated choice about the stop smoking aid industry.

Firstly, let us discuss the assertions made by the manufacturers of Cigarrest. As in most programs available in the market, the Cigarrest program provides a natural therapy for the symptoms of withdrawal. Cigarrest comes in several forms, such as pills, gums, and lozenges, which all consist of anti-oxidants, natural extracts, and vitamins. In combination, these components alleviate anxiety, stomach disturbances, irritability, respiratory diseases, and other symptoms. Additionally, these components presumably bring about a repugnance for tobacco smoke, therefore making it easy for you to stay away from habitual smoking.

In over 20 years since its inception, the Cigarrest website proudly states that the Cigarrest product has shown no major adverse effects, save for the standard symptoms of nicotine withdrawal (e.g. nausea, dry mouth, tingling and tremors in hands & feet, incessant coughs, and others). The product's website appears detailed and well laid out, which is a sharp contrast to the web sites of related products that show insufficient reports of their commodities and any potential adverse side effects.

In this Cigarrest review, we need to underscore the fact that general feedback about the Cigarrest product is very much varied. As a result of the ongoing disagreement, it's a wonder how the Cigarrest brand was able to last in the stop smoking aid market for such a lengthy period. Even though a few individuals attest to the effectiveness of Cigarrest, the majority of people still maintain the product's a rip-off.

Considering that Cigarrest products are being sold in specialty web sites and other places online, a good number of observers question the brand's integrity and warn the public against purchasing the products. It is still likely that the popularity and age of the brand have spawned a number of satellite websites that are attempting to bank on Cigarrest's good name and, in the process, duping a lot of users. Nevertheless, until there is any proof to this, it's imperative for you to stay careful.

The product's longevity and popularity may seem attractive to most users, but we recommend that you carefully think about the various factors involved before purchasing this stop smoking aid product. Moreover, do try to stay away from possible scams as well as deceiving web stores that aim to swindle you.

Through generations, natural stop smoking methods have prevailed and are generally believed to be helpful. Nonetheless, the outcome depends on the person involved, the seriousness of the smoking addiction, and the peripheral circumstances. If you have decided to quit smoking by natural methodologies, the following are some factors to be considered.

by Amy Hudson

Through the years, natural techniques to quit smoking have abound and generally known to be effective. Nonetheless, the results depend on the each particular individual, the extent of the nicotine addiction, and the exact conditions. If you want to kick the habit via natural techniques, the following are some factors to ponder.

Quitting Cold Turkey

The cold turkey approach can feel harsh and utterly unbearable, but it is categorically effective. While you may suffer from various symptoms of nicotine withdrawal, these are merely transitory. In the following months, after you've effectively endured the worst, you will attain extreme satisfaction from having kicked the smoking habit. The "cold turkey" approach, more than other methods for quitting smoking, necessitates a great deal of commitment and determination.

Gradually Decreasing Cigarette Consumption

A gradual decrease of the number of cigarette sticks you consume every day is similarly successful as a natural stop smoking method. This method may seem more effective for those with good organization skills, because it entails making a personal quit smoking plan, and then systematically and slowly decreasing the amount of cigarettes you consume each and every day until such time when you are well able to fully quit smoking cigarettes.

Hypnosis

Another natural stop smoking technique is hypnosis, which focuses on inducing a state of relaxation and consequently allow your subconscious to deal with your addiction minus any barriers that can otherwise hinder you when you are awake and alert. Though there are individuals who question the effectiveness of this technique, the practice of hypnosis has been verified to generate impressive end results.

Meditation

The process known as meditation is another natural technique to quit smoking. As in hypnosis, the meditation method enables you to reach a relaxed state, thus helping you endure the symptoms of withdrawal such as anxiety plus several others. As in a good majority of methods that are based principally on the smoker's personal willpower, meditation offers the possibility to modify your complete lifestyle.

Acupuncture & Laser Therapy

Cold laser treatment and acupuncture are two natural stop smoking techniques that embody essentially parallel principles, but use them in differing ways. Both techniques include stimulating specific body points to generate a relaxed state and facilitate the detoxification process. Needles are used in acupuncture, while laser treatment incorporates cold laser.

Cigarette Smoke Filters

Cigarette smoke filters serve to inhibit nicotine and tar, and are effective in kicking the habit. Certain products available today, such as NicoBloc, can be applied on cigarette filters with 1 to 2 drops to prevent various components, mainly nicotine, from passing into your body. As a result, with nicotine not passing through, you can more effectively deal with your addiction.

Homeopathic Methods

Homeopathic methods also work as a natural way to stop smoking. Homeopathic remedies are derived from the notion that some substances can stimulate your body's defensive and regenerative processed. The idea is to help the body cope with withdrawal symptoms. One example is a product called Smoke Deter, which is made of herbal extracts and has certain ingredients including Black Spruce (which fights headaches and nausea), Oat (has a relaxing effect on the nerves, also used in opium addiction treatment), and Ignatia Amara (which relieves stress & anxiety).

The above mentioned natural smoking cessation methods can be applied on their own or together, and are deemed successful in helping smokers fight their smoking habit and ultimately avoid the health difficulties of their habit.

If you're a smoker who has tried to stop smoking in the past and relapsed, or if happen to presently deliberating stopping, it is constantly an excellent idea to learn the factors involved in quitting. It's imperative for you to know what you will face while struggling against your smoking habit so that you are better equipped to handle the various possible circumstances.

Smokers who attempt to kick their smoking habit normally undergo five (5) stages, with each phase possessing different psychological symptoms. Evidently, there's a fitting response to each and every stage to make sure that you more forward into the next point and in due time succeed in kicking the habit for good.

Stage 1: Pre-Contemplation

Pre-contemplation is the first and foremost stage in the process of smoking cessation. It's fairly usual for most smokers to stop smoking in response to peer pressure; i.e. colleagues, family, and friends pressuring the person to give up smoking. Truth is, the person does not sincerely want to quit, but is forced to do so due to outside variables. Hence, this individual may try to quit not because he/she is entirely inclined to do so, but because he/she gave in to outside pressure. If the process starts with this particular scenario, the most apparent result is that this person will soon relapse and take up smoking once more, in view of the fact that the motivation is insufficient or inappropriate.

Stage 2: Contemplation

Contemplation is the next phase in the smoking cessation process. At this stage, the desire to stop smoking is present, but the individual does not want to stop smoking in the foreseeable future. Said person is aware of the reasons for stopping smoking, and in all probability agrees with such reasons. Nonetheless, during this stage, said person still manages to justify the addiction, with the intangible and remote concept of someday quitting smoking.

Stage 3: Preparation

The next stage in the stop smoking process is called preparation, which can be seen as a preface to the actual quit smoking process itself. The said person has a sincere intention to cease smoking and has even taken small measures to achieve that goal. Typically, these steps are intended to make the transition easier, like, for example lowering cigarette consumption per day, or switching to a light/filter brand.

Stage 4: Quitting

The 4th stage in the stop smoking stages is actually quitting. At this point, the person is determined to not smoke anymore and has in fact taken measures to fulfill this plan. As this person quits smoking, he/she has to face withdrawal, exert effort not to give in to the often irresistible desire to resume smoking, and overall adjust to a new life as a non-smoker. This fourth stage can last from 6 months - 1 year.

Final Stage: Post-Quitting Maintenance

The 5th and final stage in the stop smoking process is known as post quitting maintenance, which generally starts one year after smoking cessation. At this stage, a relapse is entirely possible. Around seventy five percent of individuals who quit smoking are susceptible to resuming smoking in the initial year of the process. Nevertheless, this does not mean that their efforts were wasted, since researches demonstrate that it takes about 3 tries to completely stop smoking. Though a relapse is commonly considered as a a few steps back, this should in no way deter any smoker from attempting to stop smoking again and, consequently, trying harder the next time.

In general, you must get to know the six stages of the smoking cessation process so that you will be more ready to cope with each specific circumstance that you will in all probability meet. An understanding of where you stand in the stop smoking timeline will allow you to evaluate your progress and inspire yourself further until you in due course stop smoking for good.

In trying to stop smoking, it is crucial to take into account the benefits of a smoke free life - like, for instance, significant improvements in health for you and those you love, whiter and cleaner teeth, an absence of cigarette stench on your body and clothes, etc.. Of course, it is also important for you to know what you'll be dealing with. There are various obstacles that you have to conquer to completely kick the habit. The majority of these hurdles can be derived from outside variables, but most problems originate from inside your body as smoking cessation side effects.

The first step in quitting smoking is knowing what you will go through. An understanding of what lies ahead is the best way to cope with the adverse effects of quitting. A lack of awareness about what lies ahead will impede you and sidetrack you from your goal of quitting. Even though the repercussions of giving up cigarettes can be awfully unpleasant, remember that these are often fleeting and can be easily dealt with.

Psychological & Physical Effects of Stopping Smoking

The effects of stopping smoking can be grouped as psychological and physical. The first 2 weeks are known to be the hardest, as symptoms may exacerbate in 48-72 hours after quitting smoking. These side effects will fully diminish only after twelve weeks, and only then will you feel entirely comfortable once more.

Psychological Side Effects

The earliest psychological symptom of smoking cessation consists of irritability, anxiety, as well as an excessive impulse to smoke once more. In due time, you can encounter a trembling of your feet and hands, and also extreme sweating. Afterward, you will likely go through intense depression that comes with nicotine withdrawal. This preliminary depression will probably present as grief, such that you believe that you suffer from the loss of something important. Your best response is to just endure this sensation of sadness, keeping in mind that this is just a normal stage in your body's healing process. Permit yourself to acknowledge your "loss" and wait for it to pass. On top of depression, you may also encounter insomnia, mood swings, confusion, as well as emotions resembling helplessness, vulnerability, and neediness.

This initial depression may likely develop to permanent depression, in particular in cases where the individual involved has a related predisposition.

Physical Side Effects

The physical symptoms of stopping smoking are gastrointestinal problems such as intestinal cramps, constipation, nausea, and headaches. You will likely additionally experience various respiratory difficulties like frequent colds because both lungs are starting to clear.

Moreover, a good number of smokers have been reported to have gained excess weight after discontinuing to smoke, though this may not apply to everyone. If your body's figure is a significant issue, you are encouraged to do physical exercises to compensate.

Understand the potential effects of smoking cessation can protect you from these conditions as they manifest. Remember that the quit smoking side effects will frequently pass after a few short weeks. The only permanent impact of quitting smoking is a positive one, that of a distinctive improvement in your wellbeing and health.

Once you decide to stop smoking, you are in for a long and difficult road ahead. Kicking the habit can be extremely difficult for the majority individuals, since it involves severe changes in lifestyle as well as full commitment on your part. Fortunately, after you have finally stopped smoking, a smoke free life can open up infinite possibilities. The positive effects you can get from a smoke free lifestyle should keep you focused. In the succeeding sections, we will discuss a number of tips to help you fight your smoking addiction:

Avoiding 'Tempting' Situations

As you probably noticed, smoking is commonly done in a public setting - such as when you're mixing with co-workers and friends in clubs, bars, coffee shops, and various other public haunts.

The solution is to stay away from situations that can coax you to smoke again. As an example, don't say yes when your pals invite you to go out for a cigarette. Inform your buddies that you've decided to quit the habit and that they should respect this decision.

While smoking in public places is looked down recently, some clubs/bars still allow smoking. You should avoid going to public places where you know many individuals will be smoking.

To replace your usual pursuits, focus on healthy routines, like taking up a new hobby or a new sport.

Creating a Stop Smoking Plan

Most times, creating your own well-organized quit smoking plan really helps. List down your normal daily cigarette consumption, and then slowly and consistently lower down your consumption in the following days. Clearly, you are supposed to strictly follow through with this plan, regulating the number of cigarette sticks you smoke each day. The transition to a life free of smoking must be smooth but decided. That way, you can avoid the effects of complete nicotine withdrawal while following your gradual smoking cessation plan. Cut down 2-3 two or three cigarette sticks per day for every week. To demonstrate, if your average consumption is 20 each day, try smoking only 18 to 17 cigarettes in the succeeding week, and continue doing this in the succeeding weeks.

Know Your Body

In smoking cessation, it's important for you to be consciously in tune with your cravings for nicotine. You should be able to acknowledge such cravings so that you can more effectively manage them. Your nicotine craving should by no means be indulged as it will pass.

Avoiding Certain Drinks

If you usually smoke with your coffee or tea, you must try to avoid these beverages in the initial period of smoking cessation. In lie of the regular beverage, drink water, juice, or various other options.

Managing Nicotine Withdrawal Symptoms

When you've finally made up your mind to fight your cigarette addiction, you should get ready for the possibility of nicotine withdrawal effects. The answer to defeating these symptoms is to accept that you may experience them. You must be patient with yourself, in particular when dealing with moments of temptation and personal crisis. Also, don't stress over it and try to be as relaxed as possible, bearing in mind that smoking cessation is a long process that requires time and effort.

You may try any or all of the above mentioned strategies for quitting until such time when you conquer your addiction entirely. Throughput the process, always keep in mind that the advantages of a smoke free life far exceed any problems that you might come across. In the long run, your efforts will bear fruit.

by Amy Hudson

As a rapidly increasing number of smokers in the entire world are trying to defeat their smoking habit, they are being overwhelmed by erratic information regarding the health risks of habitual smoking, the near impossibility of trying to quit, the undeniable social factors involved, among others. As a result, the quit smoking process is rapidly becoming a controversial issue recently; and the search for groundbreaking quit smoking aids has expanded into a passionate search.

A multitude of methods have been used to identify the best treatment/aid to facilitate the process of kicking the habit. However, to this day, no precise system has been discerned despite the pervasion of countless products with unproven effectiveness.

Acupuncture is a prevalent idea in attempting to stop smoking, and the principles of acupuncture have, as a matter of fact, been applied through various ways. On top of actual acupuncture sessions, some methods that make use of acupuncture principles are laser therapy and, a new addiction, Zero Smoke magnet treatment.

Akin to acupuncture practices, zero smoke magnets invigorate explicit body points to accelerate the release of endorphin and motivate the specific nerve centers linked to addiction. But then again, although the long standing acupuncture process have been deemed effective for decades and centuries, there is insufficient study to prove the efficacy of acupuncture's present-day versions. With these in mind, in this article, we aim to share more information about this rather little-known system.

The distinctive disparity between zero smoke and the practice of acupuncture is their differing points of stimulation. As the latter focuses on a number of parts of your body - such as in the case of smoking cessation acupuncture wherein the ear, wrists, and nose are focused on - Zero Smoke concentrates on only one point on the ear.

Another disparity is that the process of acupuncture utilizes needles, while Zero Smoke therapy employs two magnets. Presumably, the reason for this is that the magnets share stimulating effects similar to acupuncture needles when placed opposite each other on opposite sides of the ears. It is stipulated that the polarity of the magnets is a successful stimulant for this specific area since ear tissues are not too thick.

General opinion about this system is so far opposing. There are individuals who continually protest that the product is a total disappointment since Zero Smoke includes various hidden expenses. On the other hand, there are a handful of users who attest that the Zero Smoke product does work. Regrettably, on the whole, the unfavorable buzz the product far exceeds the positive. Although modest success rate can't be discarded, the growing failure rate should warn future users to not expect too much.

On the whole, the widely negative response to this type of quit smoking treatment is highly disappointing. In light of this, we can never, in good conscience, advise the Zero Smoke product for your personal use.

The techniques for quitting cigarette smoking are diversely numerous, and these techniques can work separately or when combined to help you succeed in your quest to kick the habit. Methods may range from psychological therapies to medication treatments, but the most ideal method is for you to apply willpower and dedication to reach your goal. If you sincerely wish to quit for good, what follows are some tricks that could help.

To begin with, you must subconsciously deal with your addiction, and there are some ways that can help you in this regard. Listening to relaxing music, hypnosis, medications, or any of these 3 combined may prove effective. Even though these approaches are distinct, the primary concept is to achieve a state of relaxation so that you are better able to access your subconscious self, and eventually encourage yourself to kick the smoking habit. These can strengthen your will power and help you cope with the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Further, you must always keep in mind the dangers of your smoking habit and continuously remind yourself of the importance of quitting. This can be accomplished by listing the rewards of quitting on one hand, and the risks of smoking on another, and peruse your list as many times as possible to commit to memory your reasons for kicking your smoking habit. Your awareness of the potential dangers of cigarette smoking not just on your life but on the lives of those you love also could help keep you focused on your goal. You could additionally view photos of patients suffering from lung cancers or various lung ailments every time you are beset with an craving to smoke cigarettes again. You could also ask your friends and relatives to make audio messages to tell you how happy they would be when you you finally quit smoking, how much they love you, and/or how concerned they are about your health in general. You can always listen to the audio messages on an mp3 player or cell phone every time you need more motivation.

Other approaches to kicking the cigarette habit include medication remedies and therapies that alleviate nicotine withdrawal. Specific remedies, including nicotine antagonist pills and injections, can be particularly helpful. Similarly noteworthy are acupuncture and laser treatment, which basically stimulate certain points in your body to induce a relaxed state and help you to subconsciously deal with withdrawal. You can also find various herbal remedies, including teas consisting of Ephedra, Valerian root, Licorice, particularly helpful. Another quit smoking method is using nicotine replacement remedies, which work by transferring the focal point of your addiction from smoking to the specific nicotine replacement (including gums, gels, or patches) and gradually cleanse your body of other toxic substances.

These solutions are effective methods that may help you in your fight against your smoking addiction. Whichever method you decide on, the most important thing is to stick with it and be as committed as you can. Only than can you create a smoke-free life.
